About
KLM Aviary
art work by Walter Vozzo
We are a small aviary located in southeastern Virginia. Marty, as CFO, looks after the money and Kathy looks after the birds. Rebecca is the webmaster and Meghan helps with socializing the babies. Annemarie and Zachary just roll their eyes when Kathy comes home with a new bird or another award ribbon from a bird show.
We started with 2 normal greens, Romeo & Juliet, in 1996. After they died from inhaling what we suspect were the fumes from the under coating of our self cleaning oven (a very hard lesson to learn) in 2000, we acquired a seagreen and a creamino. Before long we were adding different color mutations. We can produce greens, pieds, blues, inos, cinnamons, violets, whiteface blues and american yellows, orangefaces and some mutations with one and two dark factors. We now breed 4 of the 9 different species of lovebirds. In 2004 we addedmasked lovebirds to our flock and in 2006 we added fischers and black cheeks.
Please contact us if you are interested in any of our lovebirds.
We don't ship,
but maybe a road trip?
