This is the place for all sorts of mermaid oddities I encounter online,
as well as the choice items in my mermaid collection.

Mermaids at Walt Disney World

One Christmas, after much searching, my children located the Lenox Mermaid Princess, above, left.  This is one of the rarer Princesses Lenox issued in the 1990s.  Right is the newest member of the "family", found the day before Halloween at Opry Mills in Nashville, TN.  I've sworn off buying mermaids, but this one, "A Siren of the Sea" called out too provocatively:  Her official name, imprinted on the base, is "Kathryn" - not only my official given name, but the name of the daughter I was visiting!  Below  left is a pewter mermaid I found at a recent craft fair in Roanoke.  She is actually tinier than the picture.,

Two very special mermaids:

Left, a cross-stitched mermaid made by my granddaughter, Katie, when she was about 18, and, right, Mermaid Diving into the Ocean painted by my grandson, David, when he was about 3.
