Qualifications for Membership

Member Family:  The family is a basic unit of our society created by God.  We understand a homeschooling family to mean one male and one female parent with one or more children or anticipated children all related by the institution of marriage.  A home school student is defined as a child who is educated at home and is preschool to 12^th grade.  Parents not conforming to the above standards of a family are to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 

·         Both parents in each member family shall be actively involved in a Christian Church. 

·         Both parents in each member family will submit their written testimonial of their faith in Jesus Christ with their membership application.

·         Each member family will take on the responsibility of at least one job from the job list, for the duration of the home school year.

·         Each home school child in the member family will agree with and sign the Code of Conduct.

Demeanor

Our community will be a reflection of the character of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Each member family will be responsible to see that themselves and their children’s manner and dress are Christ-honoring.  Profanity, slander and immodesty are not acceptable behaviors.  Note: We advise members to be quick to forgive those who may have unintentionally hurt or upset them and to consider the hectic lives and schedules as well as space and time limitations of your fellow members. 

Annual Fee

An annual membership fee of $25.00 will be required from each member family.  This fee is non-refundable.  The membership fee should be sent with the membership application.  If a family is not accepted for membership, their membership fee will be returned.

Job’s List

As a condition of membership, every member family must pick at least one job from the job’s list.  This job will be their responsibility through the end of the home schooling year.  Jobs are taken on a first come, first serve basis.  The home schooling year goes from June to May.   If your family is unable to fulfill their chosen job requirements, please check with the Membership Facilitator for a change of job.  If you have an idea for a job that is not on the Job List, please let us know.  We would like to fill the listed jobs first; however, jobs not listed will be considered, especially if someone has past experience with the new job.
