African American Music 1945-1995 Database Project

Using FileMaker Pro software, created a relational multimedia LAN database of 350 song titles, photos, and artists. Developed an Excel template for client to import data. Bloomington, IN.

Indiana Folk Arts Survey Database Project

Prototyped a database for the Indiana Folk Arts Survey Project in a joint venture between the Indiana State Arts Program and the Indiana University Folklore Institute. To increase participant accessibility and online collaboration, the password protected database was published on the web. Bloomington, IN.

Northern California Military Intelligence Service Oral History Project

Researched, videotaped and interviewed eleven Japanese American veterans of the Pacific War from Seattle, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. Designed an oral history questionnaire to highlight their military experiences during World War II. San Francisco, CA.

Sacramento AIDS Foundation Helping Hands Interview Project

Conducted informational interviews for a Sacramento Aids Foundation study to track clients receiving social security and disability benefits. Designed questionnaire and tracking forms. Sacramento, CA.

Computer Endorsement Program Assessment Project

As part of a three-person team, analyzed the growing needs of student teachers in the Computer Endorsement Certificate program at Indiana University. Usability Testing

Distance Education Research and Development Project

Unlikely Liberators Documentary

Produced, interviewed, researched, scripted, and directed a documentary on the late Japanese Consul Chiune Sugihara who enabled Jews to escape to Shanghai and the 522 Field Artillery Battalion who assisted in the liberation of Dachau Concentration Camp. Interviews with Jewish survivors, Japanese American veterans, museum curators and war historians. San Francisco, CA.

Fifty Years of Silence: Japanese American Soldiers in the Pacific War, 1941-1952 Documentary

Produced, scripted, edited twelve interviews with U.S. military intelligence veterans to create a one hour documentary chronicling the untold story of Japanese Americans who served in the Pacific War, 1941‑1952. Sales of the video continue to provide revenue for the National Japanese American Historical Society and the Military Intelligence Service Association. San Francisco, CA.
