DEANIE REHEIS

 Appearing in her first Kansas State Horseshoe 
Tournament in 1977, Deanie Reheis came away with 
the Women’s State title.  Since that first appearance, 
Deanie has played in 20 more State Tournaments over 
the past 24 years and captured 2nd place seven times.  
Deanie is second in all time wins in the Women’s 
Division in the Kansas State Tournament and throws 
a flip shoe.  Deanie has also attended and participated 
in several World Tournaments.

Deanie has served the Kansas State Horseshoe Pitchers 
Association as its Secretary- Treasurer two different 
times, from1981 through 1984 and from 1990 through 1994.  
During that time, she served as Tournament Director for 
nine Kansas State Tournaments.  Deanie’s husband, Marvin, 
is also a member of the Kansas State Horseshoe Pitchers 
Hall of Fame, making them the only couple so honored.

For her service to the game as State Secretary-Treasurer 
and her long record in the Women’s Division in the Kansas 
State Tournament as well as her State Championship in 1977, 
Deanie was elected into the Kansas State Horseshoe Pitchers 
Hall of Fame in 1991 as a Player-Promoter.
