Muzzleloader Whitetail Deer Hunting
In my opinion this is the best chance a nonresident has to bag a trophy whitetail in Nebraska. We have leases in this state and seasons are very liberal in time allowed to hunt. Our Nebraska leases are in Blue Southeast Area.
Nebraska's season runs for the whole month of December. With today's magnum inline rifles, 150 yard shots with accuracy are realistic, and most shots taken even with a high powered rifle are less than that distance.
Nebraska law says no more than a 1 power scope though. If you are not sure about your commitment to muzzleloader hunting or have not purchased one yet, try one of mine once you get here. |
