Fall and Spring Turkey Hunting
Finally, Nebraska has made the East Unit a buy unit. As of Spring 2004, the number of tags available to the public will be unlimited, which makes it a cinch for a non-resident to obtain a permit. The season will still be split, with an early and a late season. This year early season hunters had about an equal success ratio compared to late season hunters, while in 2002, the early birds were the most cooperative.
The population of turkeys here is amazing, which makes it nearly impossible to go home emptyhanded in either the spring or fall seasons. The fall hunting is really fun, as you can hunt for a whole month if need be, and if you don't have a tom by the end, you can shoot any turkey that walks up to you. Just be careful not to shoot when they are in a tight group or you may get more that you wanted.
Again the fees for these hunts are based on the services you want, as we offer unguided to fully guided with full amenities. |
