While your locking mailbox can be used to send outgoing mail, it is important to remember that your outgoing mail is not secure. The Postmaster General highly recommends that you take your outgoing mail to a USPS collection box or to a post office, or mail it from your work if that is safe. If you choose to use this outgoing mail feature, you don't have to put up the flag to tell everyone that there is mail ready to be stolen. Your Mail Carrier will see the outgoing mail when he opens the incoming mail slot, and will then take the outgoing mail. If you would like more information about our new mailbox, please visit: www.oregontrailbox.com I hope the information is helpful in clarifying how to use the outgoing mail feature. |
