| RODENT CONTROL |

County Vector Control is available to assist homeowners maintain a
rodent-free environment. Please check their web site at www.OCVCD.org
or call them at (714) 971-2421 for more information.
INSIDE THE HOME:
1. Seal openings to your home (including weather stripping).
2. Keep food (including pet food) & water covered and stored in
rodent proof containers.
3. Do not leave any pet food or water out over night.
4. Remove/clean up any leftover & spilled food.
5. Screen off house & AC vents plus any other openings with
1/4" galvanized hardware cloth.
6. Keep exterior doors & windows closed unless protected by
tight-fitting screens.
7. Use spring-loaded traps.
OUTSIDE THE HOME:
1. Keep wood piles and stacks of bricks at least 18" off the ground
and at least 18" away from any walls.
2. Store all grains & food (including pet food) in rodent-proof
containers.
3. Avoid using bird feeders near the home.
4. Dispose of trash & fallen fruit in rodent-proof containers.
5. Remove debris, old tires, & other items that might serve as
rodent nesting sites.
6. Report all rat & mice infestations and all sightings within the
community.
