MY SEARCH

PART 6:Search for yourself

Finally, I prayed a simple prayer and became a Christian: “Lord Jesus,

I need you.  Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins.  I open the

door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord.  Thank You for

forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.  Take control of the throne

of my life.  Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”

Many people who have heard the good news of Christianity find reasons

not to believe.  For the first 18 years of my life, I never had time or even

thought about “the meaning of life”, but when I finally ran through all the

hoops and had reached all my goals, I remained empty inside.  Sure,

I still have bad days, but by now believing in Jesus, I have a joy and

peace that surpasses understanding.

I urge you to look to the facts of the Bible and not to the actions of

others.  I would like to tell you that all Christians are loving, perfect people,

but I will be the first one to admit my faults, weaknesses, and pride.

I have bad days when my pride, doubt, or fear over takes my faith.

Don’t make meeting me on my bad days turn you away from Christianity.

Look for yourself.  Read for yourself the miracles found in the Bible.
