In conjunction to my Bible reading, I read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (a brilliant Christian theologian). It is here that I first heard his famous statement: “Jesus is either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord.” The Gospels, supported by irrefutable historical evidence, tell of Jesus who claimed to be God, who died, and who rose from the dead to atone for our sins.
Jesus could not be just a good man because a good man would not lie and tell everyone that he was God, and his thought process was too logical for him to be a lunatic. Christianity, Jesus, leaves you only one option—Jesus is God.
Only one of the world's holy books, the Bible, has so many prophecies about one man, who is the only prophet in any religion who claims to be God. It is the only holy book to report that you can only get to God through belief in Jesus and not by good works, and it is reliable. If there was only one way to get to God, Christianity was surely the only true way.
