At 1790 PA census Horner heads of families with boys 5-6 years old were Robert of York Co.,
David of York Co., Benjamin of Philadelphia, John of Bucks Co., Andrew of Dauphin Co., George of Westmoreland Co., David of Cumberland Co. and Abram, Frederick, John and Soloman [sic](see below) of Franklin Co. There were 54 Horner households in the 1810 PA census. The 1830 census of Codorus Twp. shows a Daniel Horner with 13 people in his
household: a man and a woman each between ages 60 & 70; a man and a woman each between ages 40 & 50; one female and two males between ages 15 & 20; two males between ages 10 & 15; two males between ages 5 & 10; one male and one female under age 5.

In "Pennsylvania German Marriages," by Donna Irish (1982), Daniel's surname is spelled Harner, and the marriage was solemnized by the Rev. George Geistweit for First (Trinity) Reformed Church; his pastoral acts also include the marriage of David Brillhart and Catharina Lau (1 Feb 1810) and Johannes Brillhart to Catharina Lau (22 Feb 1810) [yes, the brides have the same name and in the same month! - intriguing!].

the Little Conewago congregation and Codorus in 1865 is mentioned along with
names of some of the people including Horner, Danner and Spangler t to the area
of Astoria, Illinois.

John and Margaret Wise, John and Christine Bricker, Elias and Mary Diehl, Levi and Henrietta Diehl, John and Malinda Robenstine, Lackwel l Parr, Emanuel
Spangler, Emanuel Bricker, George Ebert, Isaac, Adaline, and Samuel B Brillhart, and Abraham Serff. By the time of dedication on August 26 , 1866 there were about 100 members. The church was active form man years and then declined, so the building was sold in 1922.

I think I can give you some background lineage on John Horner
(1812-1871) if you still have an interest. None of it is verified, but
is probably correct.
I'm looking on information on John's supposed sister Ellen Horner who
married Charles Branson.

John Horner⁽³⁶⁾ was born on 19 JAN 1845 in Hanover, York Co., PA.⁽⁵⁴⁰⁾ He died on 12 OCT 1851.⁽⁵⁴¹⁾ He was baptized in Hanover, PA (Emanuel Reformed Church). John was not listed on the 1850 Census for Heidelberg Twp. PA Parents: John Horner and Eve Bollinger.

John Horner⁽³⁶⁾ was born about 1874 in IL.⁽⁸⁹⁾ He died. Known to be living - photo Parents: Henry Horner and Almira Ellen Clark.
