The Lambda class shuttle is used for mostly carrying important officers around like Grand Moff Tarken. It was also used for when the emperor came to the second death star and it was also used for when Darth Vader came to the Super star destroyer, the second death star and it was used when Luke Skywalker was escaping the second Death Star with Darth Vader.
