The T.I.E. Fighter was seen in all of the New Republic movies. But you only saw them during the battles or escorting the Star Destroyers to battle zones. For each squadron, there are 24 fighters. For each wing there are 72 fighters. But it seems that when you destroy 1 fighter, dozens more take it's place, which makes it almost impossible to destroy every single T.I.E. Fighter.
