Personal Pronoun Recognition Practice


Nominative or Subject Pronouns: personal pronouns used in place of a noun in the position of subject or predicate noun. They are: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.

Objective or Object Pronouns: personal pronouns used in place of a noun in the object positions of a sentence - direct object, indirect object, or object of preposition. They are: me, you, him, her, it, us, them.

 


Exercise Directions:
Write down the personal pronouns in these sentences.

1. Did you know the answer to the question?
2. She is the owner of that book.
3. She bought her a toy.
4. Both Jim and Bill will be with us.
5. It is I. (two in this sentence)
6. Brian will give her the letter.
7. The package will be delivered to them.
8. The picture belongs to me.
9. They will go to the zoo with us. (two in this sentence)
10. Chris washed the dishes and dried them.
