Pronoun and Antecedents Practice

Remember that a pronoun takes the place of a noun. The noun that the pronoun refers to is called its antecedent. The pronoun must agree with its antecedent.

Example:
Jane Smith is the author of that book. _____ is a very good writer.

The pronoun for that blank must agree in number (singular/plural) and gender (male, female, neutral). In this case, the pronoun, she, should be used. The antecedent for she, is Jane Smith.
