Private Moses B. Reed
Moses Reed hated the life along the trail and he thought Lewis and Clark
were crazy. When the Corp got a ways up the Missouri River, he left
camp late one night to try to get back to civilization. But
the captains sent George Drouillard back to track him down. He
found him and brought him back to camp, where he was dishonorably
discharged. He was sent back to St. Louis in disgrace on the
keelboat in 1805, and was never heard from again.
