About Santa Barbara
Both Dave and I were born and raised in Santa Barbara County. Santa Barbara County is made up of the City of Santa Barbara, and a few small neighboring communities, including Carpinteria. Carpinteria, where Dave grew up, and where we will reside after getting married, is about 15 minutes south of Downtown Santa Barbara. Although we both have spent many years out of California, we managed to find ourselves back in Santa Barbara as first year teachers at Santa Barbara High School in the fall of 1999. We had each come back to Santa Barbara to start the next phases of our lives. Not only is this “home” for both of us, but also, we have always been attracted to the beauty and diversity of Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara has a rich culture, beautiful landscape, great architecture, and terrific weather. Here are some links highlighting Santa Barbara’s greatness:
