The Scirocco is now been sold and on to a new home. I will miss her.

1980 Scirocco S

This wonderful piece of German Engineering is my Scirocco. When I got it looked like hell.
But one would understand that if you only paid $500 (with an extra transmission.) The previous
owner's wife thought it was a eye sore and to be honest it was. In the early stages of my
ownership, I would get pulled over on a daily basis. The local police's eyes lit up as I went by,
wondering what kind of deviant was lurking in that multi-tone hunk-o-crap.
Early Autocross Pics:

It is funny to see these old pics. They are circa 1996 and it is amusing to see the various amounts
of primer that existed on the car. The left front fender came from my friend Fran's stash of old
Volkswagen parts and the passenger side door from a Scirocco in a lumber yard. That Scirocco from the lumber yard
Fran later turned into a race car. One of Fran's friends flipped it at Lime Rock and I now have
the Bilstein BTS-471 suspension kit from it! I went over Fran's to check out the kit and noticed that
the totalled car was once black so I asked Fran where it came from and that's when we realized it was
the same one!
Finally I got it painted and it looks like this now:

Lost Machines
These are the cars that I used to have:

On the left is a blue Ghia I owned and my friend Todd's dad ripping out the

semi-automatic transmission. On the right is Todd's Bug ('73 if I remember right.)

Here's my trusty old 1988 Fox wagon that I went crazy with the white-outlook with. Nice Bennetton Formula 1 plate on the front, eh? The second picture is a good one because in the upper right you can see the "Dragon Wagon," a Bug a friend and I bought $75. We beat on it for a while and then had no place to keep it. This was its final resting place.

The 1979 VW Westfalia that I never drove. Parked in the yard and good night. Never had enough time to finish it so it's gone to a good home. That's Brad helping me clean. Update! My friend Lee owns it now!
