Oats Media

This media is for symbiotic germination of orchids from seed.

It is a minimalist media used to prevent the fungus  from overwhelming the seeds as they germinate.

Oat flakes  30 g  Agar  15 g  Distilled water  1 liter

To prepare: Boil oat flakes for 10 minutes. Add agar, add  water to 1 liter mark. Pour into flasks while agitating to suspend  oat flakes. Autoclave and use for germination.
