Hi, I finally found some information about moving houseplants and orchids through Canada. We plan to move ourselves instead of using a moving company. I e-mailed both the US. Dept. of Agr. and the Canadian Dept. of Agr. I have copied the Canadian answer to my question. Perhaps this answer will help someone else.
This is the Canadian answer: `````````````````````````````````````````` Dear Kathleen Wartinbee:
This is in response to your message regarding the transport of plants through Canada and back into the US.
There are no requirements for the movement of house plants (as long as they are commonly known as recognized as such) from the continental US through Canada. Also, there is no requirement to bring them back into the US from Canada.
