Great Western II Refinished Grips - Click Image
Refinished Uberti 1873 Click image
I have a lust for
refinishing Uberti Rifle Stocks, freeing them from that awful thick-sprayed red
color. The image above is my own Cimarron 1873 that was ordered with the better
grade of Walnut. When it arrived you could see the wonderful grain trapped
beneath the thick finish. Now it truly shows its wonderful grain. I can unlock
your stock's highlights too.
I can apply hand rubbed oil (above) or poly finishes in matte, semi gloss or high gloss. During the refinishing I can remove dents by raising the wood and remove scratches. I use a time proven method that results in a stock you can take pride in. I whisker the wood but sand as little as possible. Wood to metal fit is retained , no rounded edges or waves in the wood.
I can't replace wood but can take as much damage
from the stock as possible without causing low areas where the wood meets metal.
I also do a antique finish (Metal and wood) that will make your gun look 100 years old.
