Evil is everywhere. There is no escaping it or hiding from it. But there is hope and protection from it. Surrounding yourself in God's glory and word is the best and only defense against it. The consequences of sin is death but your faith in the Lord will save you from eternal damnation. As Christians, we must be armed always for the evil that threatens to seep into our very souls. You must be strong to combat it. You must be knowledgeable in the word and be prepared to use it!
The devil is always trying to dig his hooks into us. We must not let him in! Take an inventory of your life and home. Are you surrounded by God pleasing things? Is the music you listen to, the movies you see God pleasing? What might seem like a perfectly harmless song or joke could be infiltrated with evilness. You must be able to use discernment in your everyday living. Pray that God will shelter you from evil and help you to sort the good and the bad. Your soul depends it!
