But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4
I thank God always for allowing me to be saved by grace and not my works. What a tremendous weight is lifted knowing that I don't have to earn my way to heaven. God doesn't have to be gracious He is because He has enormous love for us. It is the only sure way for us to have any hope. If we were to depend on our works we would always feel like it's not enough and we would begin comparing ourselves to others. Isn't it wonderful to know that we are saved by his loving grace?!
