Tests

Wow! The above scripture really shows Abrahams faith in God! Could we have been as faithful? It's scary to even think that we might have doubts! I know how difficult it would be for me if I were to be tested the way Abraham was. We are being tested all the time by the Lord. All the struggles we have in life are tests from God. How many times do we wallow in self pity and fear over earthly matters when all we have to do is ask the Lord to help us. That's what I mean when I say we are being tested. We fail all the time yet God keeps on loving us! It's so easy to get caught up in things, isn't it. As humans we have a hard time surrendering ourselves and trusting that God knows best. We need to let go and realize that He is in ultimate control of our lives and while we make our own choices He has the final say so. Next time you are going through a difficult time ask yourself if this is a test from God. Pray that He will show you the right way. Remember He does not keep a record or scorecard. He is only trying to help you grow in your relationship!

The bible also talks about not putting the Lord to the test. What that means is we do not live our lives recklessly with the assumption that God is going to clean up our messes. God is a patient God but even He has His limits! Live your life in a Godly way, know you are going to make mistakes, and do not take the blood of Jesus Christ for granted. You are forgiven and you need to be respectful to God and live according to His word.
