God never lies! Ever! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could always tell the truth? Even little white lies are sinful. Your friend asks you how you like her new dress. You think it hideous but you tell her you love it. Sure, you're only trying not to hurt her feelings but it's still a sin. We cannot always tell the truth because we are sinful. The greatest truth we have in our lives is the truth of God's word. How wonderful we have it! It gives us hope and we will never be let down! Jesus started many of his sentences with "I tell you the truth." Wouldn't it be nice if we could do that?! When he says "I tell you the truth" He means it. This world is full of lies! Satan lies to us, our friends and family lie to us. How wonderful for us that we have Jesus in our lives to be completely honest with us! While the truth may hurt sometimes it's what we need to hear. If the truth didn't hurt sometimes we would be lost. The truth sets us free! Ask Jesus to bring His truth into your life today!
