Lost Bastards
Twenty eight American soldiers went on a Top Secret Mission to Korea
Fourteen came out alive.
The Bloody Korean War was in its final..weeks. A Cease Fire was expected at any time.
The Chinese wanted to punish the.South Koreans one more time.
The Americans were in the wrong place at that wrong bloody time.
The Americans were in the middle of the worst fighting since the Communist Spring Offensive of 1951.
The Americans were with the ROK 26th Regiment of the Capitol Division during their valiant but costly head to head & toe to toe mauling with three reinforced Chinese Divisions in July of 1953.
They were assaulted repeatedly by Chinese artillery ... Human wave attacks ... they fought hand to hand ...
They had no contact with friendly forces.
They could not be taken alive.
They were forgotten, they were cut off, and they were surrounded ...
They were the "Lost Bastards."
