The 424th was 8th Army Artillery assigned to the 9th Corps. We were an 8 inch artillery unit and thus not assigned to any one division or regiment. There were three 8 inch outfits in Korea. We covered approximately 50 miles of the central front with the other two outfits covering the eastern front and western front.
