Note the different forestock, rather than the hand grip, I  call this the "Military version" and the one with the front hand grip the "Gangster version" - a la Al Capone, the roaring 20's....  These semi-auto guns have the star wheel and can shoot 10 shots as fast as you can pull the trigger.  I've used cherry for the stocks and handlegrips, and the latest ones are solid oak.   

I've recently lucked into a bunch of 1 inch thick oak and have begun making Tommy guns with removable stocks, also changable clips, you can remove one screw and switch between a clip and a drum magazine. These take a bit more making, but I do have a few.
