Monroe County Missouri
This site contains scanned images showing the ownership of all areas of the County for the Year 1877. The county is divided into five ranges from East to West and four townships from South to North. In addition there are political Townships which include Washington, Monroe, Woodlawn, Clay, Indian Creek, Marion, Jackson, Jefferson, Union and South Fork. You may click on any of the areas outlined in red and see the details of the area. Keep in mind that these scans are the result of several reproductions and lack somewhat in quality. If you know the county well it will serve to confirm the presence of your family members in the area and give some direction to your search.
