NON-PARTISAN POLICY
The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. It takes action on public policy positions established through member agreement. It is political, but it does not support or oppose any political party or any candidate.
League members (as individuals) are encouraged to:

b. attend candidate meetings,
c. circulate and sign petitions,
d. work for candidates and causes of their choice,
e. be a candidate.
The President, Vice-President, and Voter Service Chair of the League of Women Voters of Cochise County recognize that, as a result of their close identification with the LWV, they have a special responsibility to see that their activities do not create an impression of partisanship, They will use discretion in any political activity, ascertaining in advance from the state board that such activity will not compromise the nonpartisanship of the League. They should not endorse a party or candidate; hold or run for public office; contribute time or money to a candidate or party; publicize his/her party membership; circulate petitions for individuals or parties or circulate petitions contrary to League positions.
