David Drake and Dr. Gregory Quist have formed The LXT Group to provide advanced scientific analysis, engineering design and rapid and reliable results for challenging technical problems. The LXT Group is headquartered in Escondido, California.

David Drake served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) for 9 years, representing the City of Escondido. He was Chairman of several key committees at the SDCWA, including Administration, Engineering, Desalination and the Emergency Storage public outreach committee. He also served as a member and the Chairman of the City of Escondido Planning Commission, He holds a BSEE from the California Institute of Technology and worked as an engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and as an engineering manager at Oak Industries, Digital Equipment Corporation, Mitchell International, SAIC and PointSource Technologies. He holds 3 patents and has one pending. His expertise includes radar, optics, signal processing, seismic systems, communications, information systems and system integration. He has held government clearances and resides in Escondido. During the energy crisis of 2000 he proposed and drove an addition to the General Plan of Escondido to focus the City on the use of Renewable Energy.

Dr. Gregory Quist holds a Ph.D. in physics from UC Santa Barbara with a thesis focus on fault dynamics and ground motion prediction from earthquakes. His undergraduate degree in astronomy and physics with a minor concentration on economics is from Yale College. He has served as an elected Member of the Board of Directors of the Rincon Del Diablo Water District since 1990 and has served on the SDCWA since 1996. His experience includes numerical simulation and predictive modeling, radar systems, electro-optical systems, wireless communications, electromagnetic radiation analysis, magnetic materials, engineered materials, signal processing, feature extraction, complex system development and integration, real-time monitoring systems, and product development. He has worked at Alcoa, McDonnell-Douglas and SAIC and has founded several high technology start-up firms. He has held top level government clearances and resides in Escondido. Dr. Quist holds 4 patents and has several pending.
