top of the bottom "clamshell", just before top seperation. probably be best if you lift the long right side up higher, then, at the same time, make sure the left rear 'lock assembly' unhooks OK from it's engagement, AS you lift the top half off... and now you can access the inner face of the lower glass, too :-)
