Guest Speaker:

Elise Botch

“God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

Given a unique “gift” at birth, which others would call a deformity (or curse), Elise discovered that this gift opened her to the realm of the Spirit and not of the flesh.

Born and raised in Seattle, WA, she moved to San Diego in 2005.  With a BA degree in Communications from Washington State University in 1980, she worked in the corporate world as a software trainer in Human Resources for a large Fortune 100 Company.  Not fulfilled in this career, she felt a “calling” to the field of education. Receiving a Montessori Education Certification from the Jesuit institution of Seattle University in 1987, she began her twenty year career as a Montessori teacher.

As a cradle Catholic, Elise Botch has served the Catholic Church as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Catechist, and a member of a Healing Prayer Ministry.  She also has been involved in the Charismatic Movement for 35 years.  Additionally, she’s a marathoner and triathlete and has just completed her 38th marathon in her athletic endeavors.

She will give witness that her physical, mental, and spiritual growth as a woman of God has been a faith journey embraced by the love of Our Blessed Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of her Son, Jesus.  Come to hear her inspiring and uplifting story.

The Magnificat Ministry:

"My soul magnifies the Lord, my spirit finds joy in God my Savior... God who is mighty has done great things for me, Holy is His name."    Luke 1:46-49

In these words of the Magnificat, Mary proclaimed to Elizabeth her gratitude for the wonderful action of God in her life. Please join us at a breakfast for Catholic women of North County, San Diego, where we will share together in the same spirit of gratitude and praise of God.

After a meal, there will be a time of prayer for the needs of all present and an opportunity to hear one person's experience of the transforming love of Christ in their own life.

Please plan to come and bring a friend to rejoice in the presence of the Lord.

"Glorify the Lord with me. Let us together extol His name."  Psalm 34:4

Spanish ministry: if you feel called to start a Magnificat ministry for Spanish - speaking women,

please read this letter and you may contact Maria at:   magnificat.northcounty@yahoo.com

Since this day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children not be in attendance.

Do you have a prayer request? If you have a prayer request, update or praise report, please E-mail  magnificat.northcounty@yahoo.com with "Prayer Request" in the subject line.

"Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them" Matthew 18:20

"Our Lady of Guadalupe, mystical rose, make intercession for the Holy Church, protect the Sovereign Pontiff, help all those who invoke you in their necessities, and since you are the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the true God, obtain for us from your most holy Son the grace of keeping our faith, sweet hope in the midst of bitterness of life, burning charity and the precious gift of final perseverance."

Our Lady of Guadalupe: Intercessor of the unborn. To help stop the anti-life push in the world, the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged the spiritual adoption of an unborn child. This is done by praying that one particular but unknown child's life be spared abortion and be allowed to continue to live. To help accomplish this, it was recommended, an individual say the following daily prayer for a period of one year:

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

During your earthly life this spiritually adopted child of yours will be known only to God in the world to come it is hoped that you will meet the child whose life was spared by your prayers and spend eternal happiness with them.
