Freestate Feline Fanciers Cat Show
Timonium, MD

This photo shows our wonderful boy GP Makanacoon's Gigabyte receiving a lovely Rosette from Judge Hope Gonano at the end of
the show.  Gig placed Second Best Maine Coon Premier in Show.  Rosettes were provided by the Maine Street Cat Club for the
top 3 placing cats or kittens in each division.  Gig had not been
shown for almost a year, but showed by his performance that he truly loves to show and hadn't forgotten a thing.  We are so proud of him.

Stella Gaynor of RP Cathouse Cattery is shown here holding
a few of the many ribbons won by two of her kittens delightfully
held by yours truly.  RP Cathouse Kapua of Makanacoon is shown
on the right, and RP Cathouse Babyapua is shown on the left.

These two gorgeous 4-month old females came home with us as Makanacoon's two New Princesses.  We look forward to an exciting future of showing and loving these two precious baby lady coons.

Special Congratulations to Sue Blevins of Moosecoons Cattery
for Grand Championing Makanacoon's Oneida of Moosecoons at
this show.  Is this not a picture of Happiness and Accomplishment?  Susan, you did such a great job with Ity as you call her.
I'm so proud of you!

Judge Jan Stevens baiting 4-month old kitten Mainally Miz Jessie
of Makanacoon shown at this show for the first time.  Jessie is
just a character and full of spirit and life.  She did a great job, and
also came home with several ribbons... placing in the top five in several rings.  Thanks to Cheryl Windsor of Mainally Cattery for showing
Miz Jessie for us.  I know you were as proud of her as we were!

Makanacoon's Kuu Pandie Championed at this show,
and presented herself beautifully in each ring.  She helped to
end the show on a very high note for us.  Way to go Pandie girl!!

CONGRATULATIONS to
GC Makanacoon's Remmington of Oldwestcoons
for his National Win as Second Best Other Color Maine Coon!

Are we excited and proud?  You betcha!  Remmie is owned by John and MJ Teague of Oldwestcoons, who are dear friends, and told me they were going to do this.  It takes a lot of effort and expense and time to campaign a cat on the show circuit, something I have never been able to go out and do.  So this is the first Regional win for Makanacoon and Oldwestcoons, and couldn't have been done without you - John & MJ.

Thank you so much for your determination, the fine example you set showing this boy, and making one of my dreams come true!
Mahalo nui and Aloha ou ia oi!! (Many thanks and I love you!)

January 31 - February 1, 2009
Pawprints in the Sand & Chamberlain
on the BayCat Show
Newport News, VA

Our wonderful sweet Gigabyte was a success again,
getting Best of Breed in all 8 rings at the show.

This photo shows one of our favorite judges, Bob Molino, handling Gig at his ring.  What a performance this Show Boy put on for the audience causing many a gigle at his antics.  Gig fell in love with Judge Molino, who made the remark, "This is one of the sweetest cats I've ever seen."

It's always nice to share the handling of our cats with dear
friends like Page and Dot Shepherd who came to the show to
help us.  Page is shown here at the final in Bob Molino's ring where

Gigabyte placed 4th out of 40 cats in Premiership (neutered cats).
Gigabyte also made 4 other finals... placing with another 4th, two 5ths, a 7th, and an 8th.   We missed you Ellen... get well soon!
Gigabyte is shown here relaxing in between rings
with two of his darling admirers.
We were thrilled with Makanacoon's Kuu Pandie who placed
Best of Breed in 4 out of the 8 Kitten rings at the show.
Pandie finaled 9th out of 31 other All Breed kittens.

Sometimes our success are small, but each point, each Best of Breed, and each final is a special makana, and so appreciated!
