The Menagerie
The Chaos Host of Bronislav the Damned

Below are pictures of my humble army. I hope you enjoy them.

Bronislav the Damned leads the Vor'Ir Aq'Kharneth from the back of his mighty dragon, Dharaqzh.

Another view of the Lord of Chaos and his mighty steed.

A close-up on one of the dragon's heads.

A close-up on the dragon's other head.

A close-up of Bronislav himself.

A close-up on the basing, notice the little crater with the lava.

The Magma Guard, who funcion as Bronislav's personal bodyguard.

A close-up on the Magma Guard.

The Hellfire Raiders are great for flanking and taking out those pesky archer lines.

The Infernal Legion.

The Infernal Legion, from another angle so you can see the lava bases.

The Obsidian Legion.

The Firewalkers' champion, tattooed for battle.

The Firewalkers.

The Bone Burners.

The poor girl on the standard hopes she will be rescued soon.

A chariot.

One of the Cinderspawn. They are summoned for nearly every battle to swoop down on enemy warmachines.

The heart of the Chaos host, the infantry. The Obsidian Legion, led by the Battle Standard Bearer Pavel Vileye, anchors the center of the Chaos front. Their black armor is made of pure seamless obsidian, capable of withstanding all but the mightiest of blows.

To their left, led by Grigor the Manslayer, are the Firewalkers. What they lack in armor they more than make up for in ferocity. These clansmen are initiated into the unit by walking nude through a huge bonfire. After that, it is said, they fear nothing.

On the right, the Infernal Legion. Thier armor is decorated with Aqshyash'y (or blood steel). The higher a warrior rises in the ranks, the more blood steel he is granted.

On the extreme right flank a chariot menaces all who would come near.

A closer view of the Firewalkers. Although they are not the most reliable unit in the army, they have proven their worth time and time again. Their best role is support for Grigor (bottom left). They provide the ranks, he provides the wounds.

A closer view of the Obsidian Legion. These are the newest addition to the army, and a welcome one at that. They allow me to have a good solid center when playing battles over 2150 points. They are so new, in fact, that I hadn't had time to put together a movement tray for them.

The front of the Obsidian Legion. On the left is the BSB, who apparently was a little shy, hiding his face behind the unit champ's axe. I equip him with the "Banner of the Gods" which makes all units around him stubborn. I have withstood a multiple charge from Brettonians because of that banner. "Oh, you did seven wounds? You won by six? So sorry, (smug grin) I test on an eight with a reroll (opponent's jaw drops).

A close-up of the Infernal Legion and the Chariot. You can't really see, but my scroll-caddy sorceror Vladimir the Wicked, is in the warrior unit. Together there isn't much these two units can't take on.

Marauder horsemen are ideal for cramped, close quarters fighting like this. All of the obstructing scenery works to their advantage as they flow through doorways and around columns (reforms galore!).

A close-up of the Ogres. Thier captive kicks and screams but to no avail. These guys are good for drawing and absorbing a lot of ranged attacks. When they do get to their foes, their great axes make sure they put a whuppin' down on them.

Another close-up, this time of the rear. I am rather proud of the woman's hair, the detail on the skulls, and the grimy look of the Ogres' flesh.

This is also the only halfway decent shot of the bases. Most of my army is based on broken volcanic ground. The red and orange grooves are highlighted with yellow.

A closer look at the furies. The flight bases make them rather top heavy and difficult to get into my transport case, but I think they look great.

The Pistoliers down below would like to get a few shots off at them as they fly by overhead.

The Magma Guard are the elite of Bronislav's host. They are chosen by Aq'Chamoneth to accompany the Lord into battle and bring him gorious victory. They are girded entirely in Aqshyash'y. They ride only jet black steeds who are bred from birth to be vicious fighters. Bronislav signals the charge with his great axe.
