Sibling Rivalry

The gods of Chaos, although united in the destruction of the old world harbor a bitter rivalery between them. Often their followers clash to decide who is the supreme being of Chaos. This is one such clash between the forces of the Blood God and teh disciples of the Festerer.

KHORNE

Nurgle Turn 1

The battle started with all Nurgle units moving 8" forwards, except the chariot which moved 7". The Sorcerer attempted to cast Effulgent Boils on the Khorne Chariot, but failed.

Khorne Turn 1

The Marauders and the Exalted Champion moved towards the approaching Nurgle Lord. The Chariot charged the Sorcerer, hoping to kill him before he could cause any damage. The Flesh Hounds charged the enemy chariot to take away its impact hits, and the Chaos Knights charged the Nurgling bases. The Nurglings stood little chance in combat, 2 swarms destroyed and the last fled off the table. The chariot scored 5 impact hits on the sorcerer, totalling 6 for the Chariots' scythes. Khorne bellowed in pleasure as the weak magic user was run into the ground by the mighty Chariot. The Flesh Hounds didn't do so well, causing only 1 wound and suffering 2 themselves. Unfortunatley, they fled, getting run down by the Chariot.

Nurgle Turn 2

The Plaguebearers moved closer towards the Aspiring Champion, and the Chaos Warriors moved towards their Khorne counterparts. Everything else moved forwards except the Knights. The Chaos Knights charged the Khorne Lord, hoping to overpower him by weight of numbers. But they forgot about the Khorne Knights, who were now behind Nurgle lines. Also, now the Chariot could get behind the Nurgle lines too! In combat, the Chaos Knights wounded the Lord of Khorne twice, but suffered 4 casualties in return and almost another from the Juggernaut. Luckily they did not flee.

Khorne Turn 2

The Chaos Knights turned and moved towards the enemy Marauders. The chariot also moved around to end up facing the flank of the Chaos Warriors. The Bloodletters marched towards the Marauders, ready to take their charge next turn. The Chaos Warriors followed the daemons example, marching towards the enemy Warriors. The Aspiring Champion moved up in support of the chaos warriors, even though the Plague bearers were so close. Now Khornes' favourite part of the game, combat. The Chaos Lord killed another two knights, and the Juggernaut killed the last one. With the destruction of the Knights, Khorne was in control of the battle and had 3 units behind enemy lines.

Nurgle Turn 3

The Chariot turned around to try and get the enemy chariot in the rear. The Marauders charged the Bloodletters, the Warriors charged the Khorne warriors, and the Plaguebearers charged the Aspiring champion. The Chaos Lord charged the Exalted Champion, hoping to kill him this turn. The Marauders killed three Bloodletters, and the Bloodletters killed 3 in return. The Bloodletters then ran from the sheer numbers facing them, only to be run down by the marauders. The Nurgle warriors killed three warriors, and the Khorne warriors killed 4 in return. The Plaguebearers killed the Aspiring champion, who caused the Khorne Warriors to panic and run away. The Nurgle warriors failed to catch the Khorne warriors though. The Chaos Lord killed the Exalted Champion.

Khorne Turn 3

The Chosen Khorne Warriors rallied. The Chariot and Knights turned towards the Plaguebearers and Chaos Warriors, and the Chaos Lord turned towards the Nurgle Lord.

Nurgle Turn 4

The Chariot was in no position to do anything, so remained where it was.The Plaguebearers turned to face the Chariot, and the Lord charged the marauders in the flank. The Chaos Warriors charged the Khorne warriors again. The Lord and his Daemonic Steed killed 6 Marauders, who caused no wounds in return. They only just held their position. The Nurgle chaos warriors failed to kill a single Khorne warrior, and they killed 5 in return, and the warriors of Nurgle fled only to be chased down.

Khorne Turn 4

The Khorne Lord charged his hated enemy, the lord of nurgle. The Chariot charged the Plaguebearers. In combat, The Khorne Lord used the power of the Bloodthirster from his Daemonsword to slay the Nurgle Lord. The Chariot killed 4 Plaguebearers, who fled and were chased down, and victory was certain.

Again the Lords of Chaos clashed. The God of Rage won this day, but on another the Lord of Boils will triumph. So goes the eternal struggle of Chaos.
