PERSONAL DETAILS: Due to the 0.3 Terran gravity of the Titan colony ecosystem, Atragon-9's skeletal-muscular systems are not accustomed to a gravitational force of 1 G. He wears a poly-alloy exoskeletal support suit under his Starfleet uniform. It does not affect his movements since it is only 5 milimeters thick and it is adjustable so that he is able to work comfortably in all gravities. As an advantageous side effect, the suit also serves as a personal shield for all projectile weapons and phasers up to, but not including, the bulkhead cutters.

Atragon-9's upbringing on Titan was due to the recently de-classified Belisarius Project on enhanced telekenetic (TK) ability. [See below for more information on Project Belisarius.] His parents, Atragon-8 and Elsa Arcadia-6, were among those Terrans brought to Titan for Belisarius.

Through genetic manipulation and enhancements, he was born with a TK Index (TKI) of 16. His index rating signifies that, as an example, he is able to lift and sustain a Klingon warrior in full battle armor five meters off the ground.

NOTE ON PROJECT BELISARIUS - Belisarius was a covert Federation project begun approximately 40 years ago to nurture and enhance natural telekenetic properties in humans. The TK Index was formulated to rate the level of an individual's psycho-kenetic capabilities. A TKI of 0 is for normal humans (mundanes) with no such abilities; a TKI of 2 would be the equivalent of someone such as the 20th century Earth entertainer/telekeneticist Uri Geller; and an example of a TKI of 3 would be the infamous Hazric Allaman of Altair 4, responsible for the "mystical" massacre of an entire indigenous race in 2214.

Terrans with an Index of 2 were brought to Titan to begin the experimentation. Through therapy, focus exercises and chemical enhancement, most participants increased to a TKI of 4 (such as Atragon-9's parents.) Another focus of the project was to monitor and analyze the offspring of the original participants.

The Belisarius project was halted 20 years ago for a myriad of reasons: lack of funding, no real military uses (TK is only useful at close range) and the extreme difficulty with TK-enhanced children. Atragon-9 was one of six children born to the group. Two died as a result of improperly controlling their powers, and two have been institutionalized due to severe emotional problems. Atragon-9 is one of the remaining two that have gone on to "normal" lives, yet it still took him a long time to adjust to normal adolescence and maturation. This is one of the reasons he didn't graduate from Starfleet Academy until the age of 34.

Sovak, son of Soval, was born to his father's second wife, T'Louai during Soval's stint as Command Course Training Officer at Space Fleet Academy. His half brother, Adam Vern, from his father's previous marriage to a human, helped to raise him, until Adam graduated the Academy. Because of his father's ties with the Academy, and because he was exceptionally bright, Sovak entered and graduated the Academy by his 18th year. He served aboard the USS Drakendesh, a Transwarp Frigate, as helmsman for several months before being transferred to the USS Intrepid-C where he had the chance to serve with his half-brother. Their careers followed the same path for several years until Adam was assigned to the USS Manticore, leaving Sovak as the Executive officer aboard the [Classified]

Though their careers followed the same paths, their philosophies did not. While Adam seemed to reject the Vulcan ways of strict logic and non-emotion, Sovak embraced them wholeheartedly. His reputation for strict, logical decision making earned him a great deal of respect as a brilliant tactician and commander, but did little to endear him to his subordinates. While most of the crew members who work with him respect him as a good leader who makes good, sound decisions, his cold manner does not encourage social interaction, and thus he had always been a bit of a loner, his half brother the one exception to this rule.

On SD 9815.02 his half brother Adam was killed, in the line of duty, aboard the Manticore. He was in the Captain's chair, in temporary command at the time, as the Captain had refused his advice and gone on an away mission. The Captain's guilt over the incident was exacerbated when Sovak was assigned to replace his half brother. Sovak became an integral part of the crew, however, and even began to study human social customs after he met and married his human mate, Claire Eason, aboard the Manticore.

Sovak is a normal Vulcan with the race's characteristic pointed ears. His long, blond hair is worn in the traditional style of his race, but nontraditionally, he sports a goatee that seems to add to his harsh appearance. Sovak graduated from the academy at the top of his class, and began his career on the USS Drakendesh as a helmsman. He continued his command studies and was transferred to The Intrepid C. His prowess at command, along with his half-brother's influence, allowed him his choice of assignments, in most cases, they served on the same ships.

Jami Eyr Farrington is the descendent of Jonathan Kirk, second son of George Samuel and Aurelan Kirk and nephew of James T. Kirk. She is slight of build, but when backed into a corner is quite capable of defending herself. Like her name sake, she can be overbearing and impetuous.

At the time of her birth, Jami's parents were stationed in a remote area of Norway, studying a recently-discovered site atop a nearby glacier. Two years later the Drs Farrington returned to their posts at the University of Oslo and enrolled Jami in the European Alliance Embassy Academy, an elementary and secondary school closely resembling Starfleet Academy in structure and academics. Many summers were spent accompanying her father to archaeological sites throughout the Alpha Quadrant. She graduated cum laude, distinguishing herself in the sciences, especially biology and archaeology.

In her youth and naiveté, Jami became intrigued by the exploits of James T. She entered Starfleet Academy. Though she struggled with many technological courses, especially engineering, she displayed an uncanny ability to reason around difficult situations, to view problems from a totally different perspective and find simple solutions. Upon graduation she requested posting on the USS Ranger because of its deep-space exploratory missions.

Due to a rigorous exercise program and healthy eating habits, Kyle is in excellent physical condition. The high points of his physical abilities include bursts of strength in extreme situations, agility, and excellent eyesight. Kyle's mind is sharp; he picks up on things quickly, and loves learning. His attitude is usually cheerful and his outlook on life in general is bright. History (Symbiont and Hosts)
Mele [Symbiont] {2151- }
Bred in the year 2151, the Mele symbiont spent the first seven years of its life underwater. The small, sightless, sessile creature, after having completed its maturing the pools located in the underground caves of Mak'ala, was joined to its first Host, Kyp. Being its first joining, the Symbiont gained most of its information on trill society from Kyp. Since leaving the caves of Mak'ala, Mele has always had a Host waiting to be joined when its current Host died. As a result, Mele has not returned to the underwater pools since it left in 2158. Mele is relatively young for a Symbiont, at only two hundred twenty-six years.

Kyp [Host, male] {2137-2235}
Kyp, a very successful businessman on Trill, was the first Host to the Mele Symbiont. As he was the first Host the Symbiont had ever joined to, Kyp's personality remained much the same as it had before the joining. Kyp married in the year 2164 at the age of twenty-seven to an unjoined Trill female, Yrem. The marriage produced two children, Risila and Manea. Though both applied for Host, only Risila received a Symbiont, Hizal. Kyp died on 2235 of natural causes at the age of ninety-eight. He had been joined to the Mele Symbiont seventy-seven years, the longest of all Mele's Hosts to date.

Marem [Host, male] {2216-2238}
Born in the year 2216, Marem soon found his "calling" as a smalltime cargo pilot, adventurous and dare devilish. In 2235, Marem was joined with Mele at the age of nineteen. After only three years, Marem was involved in a fatal piloting accident in which his ship was unsalvageable. The crew of the other ship involved in the accident was able to beam Marem onboard shortly before his ship was destroyed, thereby allowing the Mele Symbiont to be joined with another Host. In light of this and several other cases involving younger Hosts and immature decisions, the Symbiosis Evaluation Board began its policy of joining Symbionts with Hosts at least in their mid-twenties. As a result, only in special cases will a Symbiont be joined with a Trill Host any younger than early twenties.

Caren [Host, female] {2214-2300}
Joined with the Mele Symbiont in the year 2238 at the age of twenty-four, Caren was the third Trill to host Mele, and the first female. She had married only a year before her joining, to a joined Trill, Cunz Tarzil. The Symbiosis Evaluation Board joined her with the Mele Symbiont simply because Mele was the only Symbiont who had not been previously associated in marriage via Host to the long-lived Tarzil Symbiont. Because Caren and Cunz had no offspring, she was left free to pursue her career in the medical field. Though her ideas and solutions were cutting edge and forefront in the early to mid part of her life, she found that the advancement of technology in the medical department left her ideas obsolete and old-fashioned. After Cunz's death, she took what was left of their estate and moved to a small island in the southern hemisphere. She died there of natural causes at the age of eight-six, having been joined to the Mele Symbiont sixty-two years.

Hashna [Host, female] {2278-2370}
The second female Host to Mele, Hashna was born in 2278. She was joined to the Mele Symbiont in the year 2300 age of twenty-two. She married at thirty, though the marriage ended in disaster only four years later when her husband, an unjoined Trill, died. Lacking any interest in the jobs available to her, she took the small fortune left her by her belated husband and departed on Trill on a trek for adventure. For fifty-eight years she spent her time visiting planets, vacation spots, and the like. It is believed the Mele Symbiont's vast knowledge in the realm of xenobiology likely was accumulated in this time period. Hashna's travels eventually led her to a small, neutral station in 2370, where she died of a heart attack. Hashna spent seventy years joined to Mele.

Kyle (current) [Host, male] {2350- }
Kyle, the latest Host for the Mele Symbiont, entered his application to the Symbiosis Evaluation Board in 2369. After completing the initial Host studies, Kyle left Trill to "find himself" before beginning the more intense training a Trill host receives prior to being joined with a Symbiont. He ended up on the same station Hashna was visiting and witnessed her death after only a few weeks on the station. Because the station's stasis units were inoperational, the station's medical staff contacted the Symbiosis Evaluation Board, asking permission to join the Mele Symbiont with Kyle. The Board gave its consent due to the fact that unless it joined with another Host, the Mele Symbiont would surely not survive. As a result, in 2368, at the age of eighteen, Kyle was successfully joined with Mele.

After undergoing the routine personality change and talking with the station's patrons, some of whom were in Starfleet, Kyle decided on a career as a Starfleet Officer. He traveled to Uridian II, where he passed the entrance exam, coming out barely ahead of another applicant. From there, he traveled to San Francisco, enrolling in Starfleet Academy with a major in the medical field, as well as a minor in the engineering area. He graduated near the head of his class, and was soon posted as Assistant Engineering Officer onboard the USS Illustrator-B (NCC-4000-B).

In 2373, after a freak accident in the Engineering department, Kyle was transferred to the Medical department. Since that accident, Mele has developed what appears to be an extreme sensitivity to fluctuations in his host/symbiont borozine levels. As such, such minute things as bug bites can be dangerous or even fatal.

After his transfer to Sickbay, he served as Assistant Medical Officer until 2373, when after the departure of the Chief Medical Officer, he was promoted to Chief Medical Officer. Kyle served on the USS Illustrator-B (NCC-4000-B) as well as the refitted USS Illustrator-C (NCC-4000-C) until 2374.

Early in the year 2374, Kyle stepped down as Chief Medical Officer onboard the USS Illustrator-C (NCC-4000-C) and took an extended leave of absence. Upon returning, he put in for and received a transfer to the USS Manticore (NCC-5852) as Assistant Medical Officer.

Kyle continued to serve onboard the USS Manticore (NCC-5852) as Assistant Medical Officer until 2376, when he was promoted to Acting Chief Medical Officer. In 2377, Kyle was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and given the official post of Chief Medical Officer.

Biography
Born on Bolarus IX on stardate 8204.04 in a rural community farm owned by his parents Zita and Sebar Precip. Precip suffered from a rare skin disease that affected Bolian children until age 8 which left his skin color a darker blue tone than the average Bolian. Precip was spared the full effects of the Bolarus Skin Redux Disease when his parents had the opportunity to have a Starfleet Physician treat him onboard the visiting USS Anaheim.

While undergoing treatment for two weeks onboard the USS Anaheim, young Mitar enjoyed touring the Ambassador Class Starship and made up his mind he'd become an officer in Starfleet, to tour the stars in a Starship.

By age 15, Precip was preparing himself for applying for the academy. His mother wasn't thrilled about her only child leaving her and tried to pressure her husband to convince their son that a rural way of life was the way to live. Mitar's father insisted that they not steer the young man one way or the other and support his decision regardless. Mitar had prepared well, especially in statistical probabilities and science. He was accepted to the academy on stardate 9808.10.

Starfleet Academy on Earth was a bit of a culture shock for a Bolian from rural Bolarus IX, San Francisco was the largest city he had ever been to. Precip was noted by professors to be extremely analytical and driven to surmount any challenges he faced. Extremely athletic despite his large size, he placed in the top five in the Marathon made famous by Jean-Luc Picard each year. Swimming and sharpshooting were also skills Mitar Precip won respect for.

Senior year at the academy was the toughest, for counselors at Starfleet Academy had a security/tactician role in mind for Cadet Precip. Attached to Nova Squadron, Precip was adept at piloting a wide range of shuttle/short range flight craft. The last few months of Mitar's experience at Starfleet Academy was aboard the USS Royal Star, a training vessel.

The Royal Star had an unfortunate run-in with a Ferengi Marauder on stardate 01.11.25 in which several Starfleet officers were killed, resulting in several Cadets, including Mitar, having to handle bridge positions until the Royal Star was rescued by the USS Holy Grail.

Cadet Mitar Precip graduated from Starfleet Academy on Stardate 0207.19. Having been already in combat, Ensign Precip found it was odd that he was being assigned to the USS Manticore, a spacetug (as informed by his Assignment officer). Several months passed before he was able to finally catch a shuttle to the Manticore, during that time he took some advanced tactical training classes.

Somewhat cautious, Mitar Precip considers all options before executing any courses of action. The rather tall Bolian is also rather shy, but will take on any challenges given to him by fellow officers on or off duty. Mitar still loves to run, swim and compete in target practice.

---BIOGRAPHY---
Garnoopy was born two minutes before his twin brother, and from that moment, they were inseparable. Living in the town of Riverside, Iowa, they ran through fields and played in forests, running into Starfleet officers who had come to see the infamous town. They listened to tales of the Federation and its missions and the amazing space outside of their small planet. The two brothers knew from a young age that they would attend the Academy and become Starfleet officers.

The two applied to the Academy and were accepted. After two years, Garnoopy realized that his interest in Starfleet was different from that of his twin brother, and though they continued to work together, Garnoopy continued on to major in engineering whilst his brother moved into medical.

Garnoopy enjoyed studying starship systems. Bio-neural circuitry was a special favorite of his. In his final year at the Academy Garnoopy presented a theory and preliminary research showing that by selecting special alien genetic codes from their DNA it was possible to increase the processing speed of a bio-neural gel back. The data led the way for upgrades to current bio-neural gel packs in the Federation.

After graduating from the Academy with high honors, Garnoopy was assigned to the USS Manticore, NCC-5852. While he moved into space, his brother remained on Earth to continue to get his Doctorate in medicine prior to being assigned to a ship.

Currently, Garnoopy is the Chief Engineer on the USS Manticore, NCC-5852.

On Stardate 50305.07 Garnoopy received word that his twin brother, Dr. Garnoopy, was lost with all hands onboard the IKC Qob-Lakota. Garnoopy was extremely close to his brother and took the loss very hard.

Garnoopy is in excellent physical condition.
