Background
Turris Morran was born two years after the incident involving the SS Lakul. His mother, Freda, was one of those rescued from the Nexus by the USS Enterprise-B in 2293. His father, Solomon Morran was a Senior Petty Officer stationed at the Utopia Planetia Shipyards and was involved in the ongoing construction of the Enterprise at that time. Being of El-Aurian blood, Turris was slow to reach physical maturity. At the conclusion of his primary education at eighteen years of age, he would be accounted of adolescent age. It was for this reason his initial application to join the Starfleet Academy was declined. Between the ages of nineteen and forty he attended a variety of universities including the Daystrom Institute, The University of Cambridge, and the Aldebaran Music Academy. The majority of his studies involved biology, and over the course of his education had been recognized as one of the leading experts on Molecular Biology and Histology.

Shortly after his father's death in 2335, Turris again applied for Starfleet Academy and was accepted. Four years later he graduated to the rank of Ensign, though he remained in San Francisco for several years, as a lecturer on his fields of study. Little is known of his activities between the years of 2359 and 2368.

Psychiatric Evaluation
"The results of Mr. Morran's evaluation indicate high levels of eccentricity and introversion. He has a tendency to be socially withdrawn, evident in Mr. Morran's preference towards solitary activities and reluctance to become involved in social activities and relationships. Mr. Morran also exhibits some signs of paranoia, often showing feelings of persecution in some cases and a highly exaggerated sense of self-importance. At this point I deem that Mr. Morran is fit for duty, but regular psychiatric evaluations are suggested."

Raised on Earth by her mother Arianna DeBelleville, Eva was brought up as a human child and never knew much of her father, her mother never talked about him. She knew three things about her father: that he was a trill, that he had passed away before her birth and that his name had been Jebinn Voy. Her mother passed away when Eva was 17, in the explosion of lab where she worked. Eva drowned her pain and her anxiety about being an orphan in her studies.

She attended McGill university in Montreal and obtained, at 19 years of age, a PhD in Xeno-Anthropology and was set for a scholarly career. Six months after graduating she accepted a contract as an assistant professor in the Anthropology department at LaSorbonne University in Paris and that's when her life changed. Three months after moving to Paris, she received a message from the Trill homeworld from a young woman claiming to be her half-sister. It was the first step of a journey that would bring her to resign her post at the University and set course for Trill. On Trill, she found what she wanted most - another family, sister and grand parents, ready to welcome her. She embraced the life on Trill, even seeking a job with the Kem'Alta Institute. After 9 months, she applied to be a host initiate. Being only half-Trill she had to work hard and was herself surprised when her candidacy was accepted.

The joining with the Jaz Symbiont* was performed three days after Eva's 21st birthday. With the infusion of the symbiont personalities, Eva changed a great deal. Her life as a scholar seemed less and less appealing and she developed an incredible thirst for knowledge in subjects she had never been interested by, before the joining. Being half Human made the post-joining transition a little harder on Eva's psyche and she became more and more concerned and conflicted about her future. She then decided to go back to Earth on a retreat to find her "new" self. While staying on Earth, she reconnected with old friends who convinced her that applying at Starfleet Academy might be the only way she could realize her full potential.

She was accepted at the Academy on her first attempt. She completed basic training with flying colors. Eva then went on to pursue advance studies in one of the fields that became of interest to her after the joining. She recently graduated the Academy 29th of her class as a Doctor of Medicine with a specialty in epidemiology.
