Trail Description |
|
| This is a doozy of a trail I found on day while checking out the table mesa area. I need to warn you that this is not your normal atv trail. This is a trail you will be guaranteed to dent and bang you quad all up if your not careful. This trail is not recommended for 2X4 quads at all. I did do this trail on a 2X4 but it was not a fun day. When you come to the end of this trail you will be at the top a big mountain and when you look down you will see an old broke down truck. This is where you must stop if you have a 2X4 quad. If you go down the mountain you will not be able to get back up with a 2X4 unless you have a big 4X4 quad with you to pull you back up. I had to use a winch to get me and three others back up this mountain. The trail is a turn around type trail. When you get to the Stuck Truck you will have to turn around and go back the way you came so keep this in mind as you travel. If you get to something you don’t think you could come back on stop and turn around. You will not likely see anyone to help you for days and it is a long walk back. I have posted this for the extreme ATV guys only and I am not responsible if you don''t listen. | |
| Directions: Take I-17 to Table Mesa Road. Turn left and go over the highway. Make a right hand turn at the stop sign. A left will take right back to the highway going south. You will come to a dirt road soon after your turn. I stage right where the first wave point on the GPS is but you can park anywhere after the pavement ends. You will travel down the dirt road and stay left at the fork. Keep going until you reach the river bottom and then follow the GPS from there. The start of this trail is at a coral where the road travels through two fences. Turn right here at a trail that is not highly traveled. From here you stay to your right at any turns. | |
