My maiden name was Maria R. Lechuga. In March 1952 my high school sweetheart, Cubby, came back on leave from the Air Force and we married. He made me stay here until graduation in June. Then I flew out to Florida to join him. He is still my sweetheart, and I am still Mrs. Cumberland A. Warden. Cubby is also my webmaster. We are now retired and live in San Diego County. Our school newspaper, The Railsplitter, published an article about our marriage in the next issue after we were married. Cubby submitted an article about "Hello Day" in March, 2004 as a follow-up.
