God is honored
throughout the week in many different ways.
There are daily devotionals, weekly chapel services, and Bible memory
verses.

Mathematics
Primary mathematics is the
development of number sense. This is comprised
of math facts and math concepts. In all
three grades the following topics are studied at incremental levels: time, money, patterns, and simple number
sentences. The following manipulatives are used: Patter Blocks, Unifix
Cubes, Judy Clocks, and Base 10 Blocks.

Arts
The focus in
Kindergarten through Grade 2 is learning to read. Children develop and “bloom” into literacy at
different times. Formal reading begins
in Kindergarten and continues in Grades 1 and 2. Phonics material is used to reinforce
sound-symbol correspondence. Both sight
word and phonetic strategies are taught in all three grade levels.
