Two Children

Tuition Assistance:  It is our sincere desire to have all students interested in attending MLS to be able to do so.  Every year our school gives tuition assistance to help families who have additional need beyond the already-discounted tuition (MLS does not charge the actual cost of educating a student).  Priority is given to currently enrolled families and to those who demonstrate the greatest need.

Anyone requesting tuition assistance for the next school year must apply to the following tuition tax-credit organizations.  Applications must be mailed directly to the organization, not to Martin Luther School.

Arizona School Choice Trust (ASCT)

These grants are given on a first-come first-served basis and cover 25%, 50%, or 75% of each child’s tuition as determined by the family’s household income.  The maximum available is $3000 per student per year.  All requests are processed in the order received.  ASCT will notify you when funds are available for your family.  Application forms are available online at www.asct.org or in the MLS office.

Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization (ACSTO)

See the ACSTO website for information on deadlines.  Application forms are available online at www.acsto.com or in the MLS office.

Lutheran Education Foundation (LEF)

A Financial Aid Application is required.  A fee made payable to “FAIR” and requested tax information must accompany the application.  Application forms are available in the MLS office.  For more information on LEF visit www.lutheraneducationfoundation.com or visit the MLS office.

Kindergarten Enrollment Policy:  September 1 is the valid cut-off date for entry into kindergarten.  Exceptions must be guided by developmental testing, pre-kindergarten referrals and parental interviews.  The kindergarten teacher and the administration make the final decision.  There is a December 31 cut-off and a first-quarter probationary period.

Extended Care:  Available before and after school for grades K-8 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Fees are based on an hourly rate.
