I had another MRI. While taking Tysabri you have to get one every six months. I haven't talked to the doctor yet about the results, but it was interesting. As normal you have to take everything metal off or out of your pockets. I forgot I had a pill case in my pants pocket (tight pair of jeans). As soon as they turned on the machine, the case flew out of my pocket with pills all over the place. One hell of a strong magnet. The next time I saw the neurologist, he said it was normal. |

I had yet another MRI (the first of my spine). Wouldn't you know it, this one shows MS activity. Lucky me!! |

The pain in my stomach area is called paresthesia (a type of neuropathic pain), commonly known as "the MS hug". |

I've had 24 Tysabri treatments and still kicking. The neurologist thinks it's time to consider a power chair rather than a scoter. I kind of agree with him. It's getting hard to go from the front seat around the back, open the hatch, and get the scoter in/out. I was already planning on getting a wheelchair accessible van. |

I bought a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan handicap accessible mini-van. It has hand controls (gas/brake/steering knob), the drivers seat moves forward, back, up, down, and turns into the rear to make transferring from the scooter to the drivers seat easier. It has a ramp (it lowers and extends out the side door on the passenger side) and the rear knells (lowers closer to the ground to decrease the angle of the ramp). It is also set up to accommodate a power chair. |
