I've been having trouble with my bladder. I feel like I'm empty, but 30 minutes later I really have to go. I taken to carrying Travel Johns so there won't be any accidents. I saw the urologist and he prescribed Enablex to calm down the bladder. The MS problems never seem to end! |

It's not MS connected, but I found our today that I now have a cataract in both eyes. They're not too bad now, just a slight decrease in my vision from last year. The optometrist said the lenses are getting a dark brown which is correctable with glasses for a few years, then I'll have to have the lenses replaced. |

MS hit me hard this past weekend. Friday night I got up to use the restroom. Both legs were as stiff as boards. When I finally got to where I could reach the walker and get out of bed, I immediately hit the floor. Both legs and my right hand were weaker then a newborn's. Until we could get a neighbor to help me off the floor that's were I stayed. Saturday, I hit the floor again. Only now my butt hurt like hell. I thought I broke my tailbone. When the wife and I gave up trying to get me up, we called 911. They got me up and to the hospital where X-rays showed I didn't break my tailbone, only badly bruised it. Well, by Saturday I really wanted, and needed, a shower. I went down again when the wife was helping me out of the tub, only this time it was on a tile floor. Now my back and sides hurt around the pelvis area and I can barely sit up straight. I'm within 16 months of a full retirement. I'm going to take a medical retirement (only $200 difference a year). We need to get the bathroom tub removed and a walk-in (roll-in) installed. I also need to get a motorized chair for the house before retiring. When you think it can't get much worse, MS has a load of misery waiting around the comer for you. Anyway, another round of Prednisone. |
