Melvin and Brenda Schuette started MBS Model Supply in December, 1999 with the assistance of Bob "Bear" Bearden. The company started as an outlet for providing quality products at a reasonable price. Our current price list is available online. You can usually reach us at home after 6:00pm, cst or almost anytime on the weekends. During the summer, we take our merchandise with us to the contests we attend.

Melvin has been involved in control line modeling since 1979. He began competing at the local level in 1981. With the encouragement of our friend John "Doc" Holliday we attended our first AMA Nationals in 1985 in Chickapee, Massachusetts. We continue to enjoy attending the Nationals each year (although Melvin has missed one since 1985) where we get to be with friends from all over the country and the world. We have both served as event director for the Navy Carrier event, while Melvin has also been the event director for the Control Line Racing events. Melvin continues competing at both the local and national level while Brenda spends her time manning the MBS Model Supply table at the local contests and serves as the Control Line Manager at the AMA Nationals.

Modeling is a hobby that we enjoy as a family. Although neither of our daughters fly, our son DJ has also been competing at the local and national level for over 10 years. Our kids are adults now with kids of thier own, we hope that the grandkids will enjoy the modeling as much as we do.
