Enough about our landscaping woes. What's up with all these fires? Pretty scary. Luckily none of them are near us or any of the family, but there is ash everywhere. It smells like smoke and, depending on the winds, the sky is really dark. Here's a pic I took in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday:

You can see the sun (sort of) through all that orange sky. It really did look pretty bad outside.

At Lois' request, here are a couple of pics of the yard:
BBQ island almost finished (except, naturally, the BBQ itself!)

The smoke makes for some nice sunsets though:
