Yes, We Have LOTS of Bananas!!
Or at least we will sometime soon. Yes, it's true. All of Connor's enthusiasm has finally paid off. A couple of weeks ago we got our first banana stalk. Here's a picture from last weekend:
The bananas come from that red thing emerging from the plant.

I guess when the pressure is on, the banana plant performs. After all, it has, at most, until next January to produce before we move on. Looks like we may actually have bananas for eating in the next couple of months. Connor has proclaimed that it will take another 6 months, but given the rate this thing is growing, I think he is wrong. I will definitely post follow up pics as the bunch develops.
Meanwhile, the wildlife onslaught continues:
Baad bad squirrel! Let's just hope he doesn't like bananas.
