We discovered MDuel several years ago; we came across it when searching AOL randomly for two player games that would assuage our boredom. That same day we must've downloaded 10 other random games, but from the start Mduel grabbed and occupied our attention. We knew we had something special on our hands.

In the beginning, we weren't really obsessed with it. However, when we continued to play, we really got 'into' the game. The controls are intuitive, the game is easy to learn and the powerups interesting enough to keep the game moving. Even just playing melee-style, with no weapons, was enough to occupy us for hours. I'm not sure how we came up with the name 'MK'.

For years now we've played it, introducing it to our family and close friends. It received rave reviews from everyone, merely confirming our hypothesis. We put the creator of the game's e-mail on our AIM buddy list (yankeewkw for Will, Existentialfront for Phil). My memory is rather spotty, but I do remember that the creator, Nige1b, was very laconic. He mentioned something about programming the game to put himself through med school, though he did seem to be online a lot for a doctor.

After a while I asked him for a full version of the game. He referred me to Duncan Gill, apparently the other programmer of the game. I
don't have his e-mail, so any information concerning him would be appreciated.

Upon e-mailing Duncan, I received the code to unlock the full version. I e-mailed him again a little later, asking for information concerning Mduel's programming language, etc. I have not yet received a reply, and doubt I will...  (this was about a year ago)

It was around then that wild speculation concerning modifying Mduel came about, and since then we had planned to make a site, learn how to program Mduel,  and finally, put it online. First, we need an established fanbase. This is where you come in. Give Mduel a chance, please, you won't be disappointed.

Philip " the Bear"

An avid Mdueler and a loyal disciple of Nigel and Duncan, Philip has always felt a strong connection to MDuel. He has logged dozens of hours of playing time in practice and has competed in and won numerous small, local tournaments. Philip's other hobbies include reading and discussing philosophy, debating politics, writing, various forum based acitivities, and researching and thinking about foxes and bears. Currently, he is studying somewhere in the North East. In the future he plans to encourage the spread of MDuel in hopes that it will become a widely known and well respected game.

Will "A Fox"

Pretty much all he said... I enjoy Philosophy, Debating, Mock Trial, and pretty much any other political/verbal activities. I'm also always up for a good game of chess, so if you're interested IM me at yankeewkw.

Mduel is obviously my favorite game, and I hope that it will someday spread and become well known, and hopefully, playable online. I don't really have much else to say here, so while you're longing for more information about this handsome, mysterious, and charismatic 'fox', go to http://maddox.xmission.com

Read it. All of it.
