Basics

Firstly, if you haven't done so yet, download a copy of the game. It's easier to understand what we're talking about when you see the game in action, whether you're with a friend or playing solo.

Let's start off with some basic terms:

MDuel - Marshmallow Duel; the name of the game, ladies and gentlemen.
Mdueler - You, the player. (I am an Mdueler)
Mduelist - The figure which represents you on the screen. (Mowbray is an Mduelist)
MK - 'Mortal Kombat'. This is a type of game in which 'killer' quorbitors may not be used; only those which enhance movement, performance, etc. (See below).
Quorbitor - Also known as 'Power - Ups', these purplish floating bubbles populate the  Mduel arena. They grant different powers and abilities to the Mduelist.
    +
Lightning (demo)- This quorbitor makes the Mduelist flash. The Mduelist with the lightning quorbitor  needs only to touch their opponent to obliterate them. * **
   +
Gun (demo)  - This quorbitor grants the Mduelist a gun, invisible until used.  It provides five shots upon hitting the action button, all of which destroy the opponent if they are properly aligned (on the same platform level) and if the opponent is not crouching. **
    +
Mine (demo)  - This quorbitor grants the Mduelist one mine which may be placed anywhere on any platform. ANY Mduelist who steps on it will be launched
offscreen, immediately perishing. The mine remains planted until detonated or until the match ends. **
   +
Invisibility (demo) - This quorbitor is activated by the action button also. Upon activation, it renders the Mduelist invisible until the action button is pressed again or another quorbitor is acquired. (Very Dangerous)
   +
Death (demo) - The bane of every Mduelist. Upon contacting the death quorbiter,  the Mduelist perishes immediately.
   +
Jump Boots - This quorbitor equips the Mduelist with a pair of boots which propel the Mduelist freakishly high, allowing them to jump up an entire level.
   +
Atomic Puck - This quorbitor grants the Mduelist a single puck; upon hitting the action button, a flashing puck slides across the platforms, launching anything it hits across the screen to its death. (This is the only powerup that can detonate a mine without the Mduelist perishing as a result.) **
   +
Grappling Hook - This quorbitor, perhaps the most unfamiliar of all power-ups, grants an Mduelist a grappling hook which can be used ad infinitum. The grappling hook is one of the most unexplored yet; we are still investigating its full potential. We suspect future breakthroughs will lead to vast changes  in Mduelian physics.
   +
Parachute - This quorbitor is often vastly underrated. When in the air, activating the parachute allows for a slow, controlled descent.
   +
Grenade - This quorbitor grants the Mduelist a single grenade; upon activation, it is thrown into the air at an unchangeable angle. Wherever it lands, a section of the platform is destroyed.
   +
Warp - Hands down, the most mysterious and unexplained quorbitor. All we can tell you is that upon contacting this quorbitor, an Mduelist is instanteously 'warped' to another point in the arena. Mduelian Physicists have only begun to scratch the surface of this enigmatic force.

A - Obviously, an Mduelist. Both Mduelers are rookies (see 'Ranks' section. in this picture.
B - A pole. Mduelists shimmy up and down this pole by positioning themselves then pressing the up and down buttons. Dismount with the directional buttons.
C - A platform. The only solid ground in the arena. You can jump, run, etc. across these platforms.
D - A Quorbitor. The resolution in this picture isn't very good, but it's much clearer in the game.
E - The Marshmallow. Also known as 'The Drink'. Fall in this, it's all over. The number of times you fall in the marshmallow is known as 'FIDS'; Falls in Drink.
F - This is a 'wall outlet' where quorbitors emerge periodically. There are always 3 quorbitors at a given time.
